As a woman, you are skilled at juggling a plethora of tasks. With the world on your shoulders, it is easy to forget that while you may be a superwoman your health still needs to be addressed. At Lab Solutions, we make your health a priority with our Women's Health Panel and our Women's Health UTI Panel.
Lab Solutions Women's Health testing utilizes the most advanced molecular technology available to provide accurate results as soon as possible with our 72-hour maximum turn-around time!
Lab Solutions Women's Health testing is a compilation of specific panels testing for 34 infectious agents including bacterial, fungal, mycoplasmal, protozoal, and viral. These organisms are known for the development of bacterial vaginosis, yeast infections, vaginitis (aerobic and anaerobic), and genital ulcers.
Our Women's Health panel looks for bacterial targets that can cause:
- Bacterial Vaginosis
- Lower Urinary Tract Infection
- E. Coli
- Pelvic Inflammatory Disease
- Genital Ulcer Disease
- Staph Infections
- Post-Partum Infection
By screening for fungal targets, healthcare providers gain knowledge that can help them diagnose:
- Vaginal Yeast Infection
- Oral Thrush
- Fungemia (yeast in the bloodstream)
Mycoplasmas are surface parasites found in the urogenital and respiratory tracts. Our Women's Health panel looks for mycoplasmal targets in order to screen for infections such as:
- Pelvic Inflammatory Disease
- Neo-natal Infection
By looking for viral targets Herpes Simplex 1 and 2, the Women's Health panel provides information needed to diagnose oral and genital herpes.

Screening for Trichomonas vaginalis, a parasite that can be transmitted during sex, allows for an accurate diagnosis of the STD known as "trich" (trichomoniasis).
Trich is the most common curable STD according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Affecting women more than men, the symptoms can range from mild irritation to severe inflammation. Complications caused by trich can include an increased risk of spreading other STD's such as HIV. Pregnant women with trich are more likely to have preterm delivery; babies born to infected mothers are at an increased risk of having a low birth weight
With the rise of Antibiotic Resistance, it is imperative that the right pathogen is identified to ensure that the appropriate treatments are prescribed.
With the Lab Solutions UTI Panel, you not only get accurate and reliable identification of the pathogen, but your report also helps your doctor choose the right medication for you and identifies any antibiotic-resistant genes that may hinder your recovery.
